Garden mystery solved

I wondered why bits were being broken off this plant, now I know.

The culprit burying a Tux biscuit.

Another scarf

More weaving. Still getting to grips with a few basics but it's fun and relatively quick, this was made in a day with lots of interruptions. This pattern is rather cool as it produces a different pattern on each side. Not sure which side I like best.
 Warp: 3 dark, 3 light

Weaving 101

A childhood toy, though I didn't use it much. I tried weaving on it once or twice but never actually finished anything. It came home with me from my parents' place a couple of years ago and every now and again I would find it in my sewing/junk room and think about trying it out.  Then just before Christmas I came across The Weaver's Idea Book by Jane Patrick and got inspired.  This loom is quite basic so I wasn't sure how successful I would be but I spent a few hours on the internet and picked up a few tips which helped.  And so here is my first finished weaving project, there are quite a few "design features" but I'm still pleased with it.

Yarn used: Cleckheaton Merino Bambino 4ply

Here is Bonnie, modelling the scarf while thinking about the teddy bear she has buried in the garden. Later in the day my daughter will find the teddy, which we didn't realise was missing and teddy will have her first bath.
