Baby Surprise Jacket

I've been knitting, mainly to get a feel for this pattern as the challenge at spinning group in 2013 is to make a Baby Surprise Jacket from handspun coloured wool (we're not supposed to use any naturally white fleece but can dye coloured fleeces if we want). Now I just have to sew it up, though there's no rush as the only baby I know is only a few weeks old and this jacket is more about 1 year size.

The tree is decorated, and the Daleks are guarding it against intruders.

Easily distracted.

What I should be doing:
Cleaning the house.
Cooking meals.
Jobs on the Christmas To-Do List

What I am doing:

Playing with Wee Peggy.  She is on loan, I brought her home from our Weavers & Spinners group Christmas meeting.  I still like my spindles but I think there might be some more spinning on a wheel in my future.

Bonnie is more interested in the small bag of  unwashed Romney Hogget fleece that I brought home, I left it on the floor and she snuck a look last night. Finding it tipped out and spread around gave her away. At least she didn't take it under the house which is what she did with one of my shoes last week,  I had to pay one of the kids to go and get it for me. You wouldn't think a dog with such cool hair could be so naughty!

Paper Star

Usually I have the Christmas tree up the first weekend of December but it's still in the box at the moment and I don't know where the month has gone. I have fitted in a little craft though, here's a star I've made to hang in the window.  The instructions are from All Things Paper
