Still only spinning to report.  I have a bag of this wool fibre that was given to me by a friend, who found it in a cupboard in a house she was renting. It has been sitting in a bag at my place for several years now as I don't really like the colours, it looks more browny-pink in real life.
But the time has come to do something with it so here is the first ball. I'm thinking of making a blanket with it as I can't imagine wearing anything made of this unless I wanted to channel my inner earth-mother.

Honey Cowl

I made something with yarn that I actually spun!  It is a honey cowl with some modifications due to a lack of yarn, not having the right size needles and of course it being a hand spun yarn of varying thickness.  I'm not sure exactly what wool this is as it was a gift to practice with but it is nice and soft to wear. I spun it on my Ashford spindle.

And now I am trying out a turkish spindle with some more unknown practice wool. I should be able to take the ball of yarn off this spindle, so I don't have to wind it off the spindle which sounds good.  Just have to wait and see if that actually works or not.  This is the 30g spindle which is considerably lighter than my ashford spindle and I really like using it.

I saw this game at the Game Masters exhibition in Melbourne and just loved the graphics.  I'm not sure I'll be any good at playing the game but I'll enjoy looking at it.
