Snow Globes

We made snow globes at Brownies last night (as part of the Sparkle theme for those of you in NZ). The girls had lots of fun making them with glitter ending up all over the place, there's some sort of magical attraction between Brownies and glitter that means it will end up in hair, on clothes and throughout the hall no matter how careful you are. To make them  you need:
  • a small jar and lid (we used baby food jars, make sure the lid fits well)
  • water
  • glitter
  • glycerine
  • glue (we used superglue, well the leaders used it as we didn't want any Brownies stuck to their snow globes)
  • a small decoration or model (make sure it can fit in the jar)
  1. Glue the decoration to the inside of the lid.
  2. Half fill the jar with glycerine. Add water until the jar is 3/4 full.
  3. Pour in the glitter.
  4. Screw on the lid tightly.
  5. Shake it up!
